    Cool

    Since everyone....

Attending the Nats can not stay or will get there later in time to make the meeting. for whatever reason or scheduling matters..

Then Ballot Box seems the most logical Idea...

Since it is the first year the Racers in attendance will get to vote.. it would be only fair for them to be able to so. without losing the opportunity to cast a ballot...

    1-membership
    1-membership ID#
    1-Ballot
    = 1-Vote

Okay... So everyone is not in attendance.... when the votes are counted... I think we can all live with that.... The presentation will be done accordingly and professionally... But for the most part. most people have already made their decision... as Word of Mouth, Scouting Reports, News Press, Travel Distance, HomeTown Slotcar Mecca's, Favorites, Drawn Alliances ... and let's not forget... Plain Old Loyalties... all of these have come to or are in play already....

So... What should we do.... Simple!....

Be at the Nats this year.... if you want your Vote Counted... maybe the sophistication of absentee ballots will kick in for next year....

But If your not there this year to vote... Well that $uck$.... But you'll have your A$$ there next year wherever the Nats are Held BECAUSE.... you heard all the stories about the fun you missed this years.... and nobody misses that much FUN two years in a row.....

Sometimes we all over think.... (I hope that makes sense) and we tend to get way way to POLITICO or POLITICAL (have it your way) about SlotCar Racing... Most people who make it to the Nats don't much care where it's held or if the Raceway itself is a Temple built by the Slot Gods themsleves or $hitBox... They just want to line up... and pull the trigger !!!

As long as the Hotel is Sleepable, the Food eatable, the Laughs are Long... the BEER COLD,,, and the Track is Smooth and FAST.... oh right!... and let's not forget the BEER COLD..... Well!!! really guys what else really matters...

I'll say right NOW.... To Whomever or Whichever Track Owner / Track get Next Years Nats.... My congratulation to You.... You've obivously put in a lot of Time and Effort and it has paid off... Please.. save me a Pit Space for Next Year... Thanks you in Advance....

    Sincerely,

    Scott!

    Well that's my .67 cents

Now back to THIS YEARS FUN!!! and of our regular scheduled programing....

    My $.02 -

I joined the organization and show my support by paying annual dues. If an alternative to NATS-attending-members-only-voting was passed last year, why are we even discussing this?

I guess some of us are more equal than others!

I guess this newbie to this sh*t missed that there was a last year's alternative... sorry for this dullness of rehash. The good thing is, I am learning as I go, and I am grateful to be back with all the help of the fine folks lending me a hand. Thanks for the heads up, I will shut up now.

Dues do what they do, I only do what dues tell me to do... to a certain point.

    Flea,

Sorry - I think I was the one who didn't understand. The change in the bylaws apparently applies to voting for officers, not to voting for the location of future NATS. My bad.

    Hey Jack

    Hey Jack ! ! !

I just like how that sounds, cocky, yet pleasant, direct, yet general. Anyway here is your change .01

Ok, back to the topic at hand: Many of us join the organization to show our support, after all: twenty bucks for a membership can go a long way, but the fact of the matter is, proxy voting can be an annoying thing to calculate and trust since the people at the NATS more then nine out of ten of them will be there again for the next years NATS to follow, and they should have the deciding vote and those voters present at this years NATS should be the deciding community.

I never liked proxy voting and still don't. Regardless the voting for this year as decided on last by years ruling will still stand. Trust is all we have I geuss…

    Later Jack

Mark I will remember that for future voting, thanks.
