Noose beat me to it for a reply!

A 4" WB with 1" guide lead is nice for a really predictable smooth-handling car, but a little shorter can be quicker on some tracks. Most of my CanAm frames are built to 3 7/8" WB with a guide lead of 1", and I build my F1 frames longer, usually 4" or even 4 1/8" with a 1" guide lead.
