Joe thought maybe we should let Paul K/mom pick from the names. It seems only fitting, because without Paul and OWH none of this would be taking place. As I had said when this all first started, OWH is hands down, the best thing that has happened to us in 4ys. We have made so many new friends, and many more to come Im sure. I take my hat off to paul and all the hard work involved in keeping OWH up and running. But the pay back is knowing that this website is the hartbeat of slot car racing. Without this,we would never know the kindness of our new found family+friends. So with all this said, I think we owe Paul this much. I hope you all agree? Also, Joe has told me to make sure and tell you all,, He will be giving a 35.00 gift card to the track of your choice to the winning name. And trust me,, he,s not going to take no for an answer. What say you ??

This "happening" for Joe and family is truly what dreams are made of Hope is a large part of that and I agree with Vic, this board and it's family are things to be appreciated. It would be nice to also thank God, if you're so inclined, for a work of wonder.

I'm looking forward to photos of Joe's setup. It will be good for others who may be in need of such a controller design.

If anyone wants to run on an "original" Orange...when in Chicago. Look up Dad's Raceway and Ice Cream parlor on US 12 in Des Plaines, Illinois. Chris Dadds made one for the raceway owner in the Mid-1990's with ALL of the features and original dimensions - but in modern MDF lumber. Just North of the Expo center that has the BIG Fall Hobby Show.

I spoke with Gary last night, Things are coming along good. The problem I had was, I was worried that we were not going to have enough room in our garage to fit everything. We now have the problem solved. We just got a heck of a deal on a 12 by 20ft shed. Turns out, the shed co. owner heard about what we are doing. I got a call this morning from him wanting to know what he could do to help.So to make this short and sweet, We will have a new shed droped off and set up in 2 weeks. Seems he has a display model that just happens to fit the bill. So now everything can come out of the garage and go into the new shed. The garage will now get a little make over, and be the home of the new track. Oh by the way, The person with the shed also used to slot race back in the 80s and would love to have a new place to play!! How cool is this? Things are looking better each day. Joe cant wait for his new toys.

Hello all, Called the heating co this morning to see about getting a heater for the garage. We are looking into a over head gas heater. The co said they can give us a deal on a scratch and dent. I say who cares, Its cheep and still comes with full gaurantee. He,s going to call me tomorrow to let me know when thay can install it. We are getting there I also had an ac unit given to us so joe can stay cool this summer. It should be a very nice set up when all is said and done. Joe is still looking at the pics Gary posted of the lay out, and grining from ear to ear Thats MY new track he says to me !!

Now that you mention it, Yes he would. Also I wanted to let everyone know, the heating co called me this afternoon. They are going to donate the heater for the garage And, two of the tecks who work for them have offerd to do the install for free Maybe they want to do a little slot racing?? So this sat we start getting the garage ready to become the new home of joes track This project has brought out the best in people we never expected. So many people have steped up to help. We as a family are so greatfull to everyone. Well,, Time for me to go do some more shoveling

I have followed this from the beginning when the first question about the control was asked till now and dang what a story. I have to say it is amazing how people will step up to the plate for a person they don't know. I really think you should get your local tv involved it's a fantastic story. Yes I know these people didn't do this for the publicity but I think more people need to know that there are still people out there that care and react to a special need. My hat is off to everybody involved it just brightened my day to read the latest developments and my thought at the name how about Against All Odds Raceway. Joe, enjoy the track and fell the love everytime you hook up and I can't wait for pics when you take your first lap.

I wish I could tell you the people who have stepped up to help in this quest. I have been getting letters and e-mails almost every day from so many people wanting to know what they can do to help. What a great feeling for all of us. As I have said so many times, It all started with a phone call from Paul K / mom. The family here at OWH is in a class all there own. I also want to make note, that alot of people are helping behind the scenes, and for some reason, dont want to be known. I think they need to be comended for the impact they are making in the lives of this family. I wish I could find the words to let you all know how we feel. OWH is the best thing that has happend to us in a very ,very long time. Both joe and myself cant wate to jump on OWH every day, to see whats going on in the slot world. We just love all of you guys. Got a e-mail from Jeff today, saying he sent the info for joes controller mount to Wing car nut and hes going to help to fab what we need. See? another OWH member stepping up to help. A big thank you to all. As always, I,ll keep u posted on how things are coming along.
