It is a pleasuer for me to be able to help someone. And look what I have got in return"New Friends" isn't that neat. Better yet I'll have the pleasuer of meeting these folks soon. What more could a person want? It's really nice to see people pulling together rather then pulling away. There was a time in this country when folks helped one another, when and why have we stopped. It's so wonderful to see this whole deal unfold, I have been here since it began. To see and feel this family is so pure, not be #1 , not to argue, not to say unfriendly things, not to be negative but being positive about someone we don't even know.I for one am very thankful that my Mother did such a good job of raising me, she taught me values and to help care for those having rough times. But most important to me is having more friends PRICELESS. Joe , Vic and Jenny's here's hoping for an even brigther tommorrow. And thank you for being friends. Poppa Rat

    Smile Kind words

Poparat, thank you for the kind words. Truth be told, we feel the same way about all you folks. To see so many people offer to help, and not asking for anything in return, makes me so proud to be part of the slot family. We never expected this. All I asked was if anyone could help figure out how we could set up a controller for joe, and WOW!! all hell broke loose. And I mean that in a very GOOD way. You know, we have gotten more help from all you people in a few months, than we got in the last 4ys from anyone. THAT MY FRENDS IS SOMETHING TO BE DARN PROUD OF. I cant tell you, how this act of kindness will change joes day to day life. I wish we could find the right words, but im sorry, they havent made them yet. I only hope that one day, we are able to help one of you in the same way. Im so proud to be part of OWH and the BEST PEOPLE IN THE WORLD. Huh, and they say there just toy car nuts huh ???? OH, I would also like to thank Mike aka/ wing-car- nut for his help with joes controller. With out all these peoples help, none of this would be possible.

I'm thinking about putting the driver's panel around the lead-on turn
so the drivers vision of the track would be like the below picture.

Gary, the track is shaping up nicely! The drivers panel around the lead-on will work providing there isn't an obstruction in Vic's garage. What will the lane spacing be? I'm assuming this will be a "killer" track for some 1/32 scale cars.

Phil, with your experience, you ought to be able to run this track with your eyes closed.
I like long walks, especially when they're taken by people who annoy me.

Vic said they want to run 4.5" stockcars so the track has 4.5" lane spacing.
I'll build the driver's panel last, so we have time to decide where the best spot
    is.

Joe's track is oriented the same as a Black Regal, his favorite layout.
We just didn't have the room for that track design.

    Can't wait!

Can't wait to drive on it when I come out to deliver Joe's controller.

I used to race on an old Orange in Hialeah, FL back in the early 80s. Had esses before the lead on, whoop-de-doos coming out of it and cars used to launch in the bank...but the next closest raceway was Bill Pinch's Space Coast Raceway up in Cocoa Beach, so it had to do.

Used to run Group 20s back then, installed in Parma monorail chassis with relatively low downforce bodies. Cars flying all over the place, but it was a hoot.

Have to say that racing against Joe will be a privledge.

Question GMS Gerding Motor Speedway ?

Good day all,, I have a question for you. Joe and I sat up very late last night. He couldnt stop looking at the pics Gary posted of his track. Joe told me and mom, he,d like to name his new track. Gerding Motor Speedway. I love it ! With all the hard work Gary has put into this project, it seems only fitting. BUT, We dont want to offend anybody. So many people have put so much time into making all this come together, I could spend a day listing everyone. Please let us know what you ALL think?? We love you all, and dont want any hurt feelings ?
