Vic, I think the name sounds great! Put JayGee Racing on the sides of one of the cars as a sponsor!
I like long walks, especially when they're taken by people who annoy me.

I still like "Joe's Track", but AMS for Anonymous Motor Speedway
is more fitting than GMS. This would be a tribute to those who
choose to give without receiving recognition!

    GMS it is!

    Vic,

Just as at a speedway, why not have small signs/plaques/stickers on the sidewalls and/or drivers panel of your track...possibly autographs.

Gary, I think you just might get over ruled on this, But lets hear what everyone else thinks. I like Jeff and bills idea. GMS just has such a nice ring to it. Gary, if it makes you feel better, you can call it generosity motor speedway?

Keep the options open on names for the track! Someone suggested
    this one to me:

    "Joe's Track of Courage"

This name stands for Joe's courage to face the tasks of everyday life
that so many of us take for granted.

    Lou, Thank you so much,
Gary, I have to admit, you have a good point! We will wait a while and see what everyone thinks. We are just so happy to be getting the track!! By the way, joe wanted me to ask you what the sand bags are used for? Is it to bend the wood for the banking?

The track material starts out being flat and I am forcing the it into the shape I want it to be. Coming out of the Bank into the Ninety and out of the Donut into the Lead-on are 2 areas where banking goes from one direction to the opposite direction and the material does not like it! The sandbags are my gental persuasion until I get the sides on. Then the sides make the surface keep its form.

    Question Painting the garage floor?

Hey, I wanted to ask you guys, At some point very soon here, I want to paint the floor of the garage. Just to make it look nice and keep it easy to clean. Theres no oil or anything on it,as we have never had a car in it. Like most people, it was just an oversized shed. I saw an add on tv this morning on the speed chanel, but the stuff is 250 bucks I was thinking more like 30-40 bucks Should I just use porch+floor paint? I can buy that at my local lowes.

    Thumbs up The Stuff

On SPEED channel is designed to resist breakfluid, battery acid, oils, and to stand up to heavy weights like engine stands with hard wheels. Plus they come in nice colors..ect.. Years ago I did find at a large hardwear place was a concrete paint that was a 2 part epoxy that we added color to that worked verywell for 4-5 years under a 2 car garage/shop. Check with one again . Maybe they have a better setup now. I do not recommend the very small color chips on the floor for color. Ya drop something small..its lost cause ya can't see it. I recomend a large color spot like a 12x12 tile is so wou can look for it....Another idea is the thin 12x12 color vinal(sp) tile. They are easy to put down. They have an arrow on the underside to line them up. If you want a design on them & they are self stick. No glue needed. Ya REMEMBER the black & white Malt shop floor .........Red, White & blue.....Mauve....If you into THAT sort of thing. Take your pick...Whats Joes fav. color????
