One of my all time favorites.

It's basically a big UK Black but what a great track. I have raced on it four times in two locations of Thunder Road but missed it at Keystone. They had that wacky custom Gerding track with the weird layout for the 2007 Nats at the hotel. I really am not complaining. I won my first 1/24 N/C on that weird little track. The Scale Pro always had my number in 1/24th. I still love that track.

I believe this track is now at TSS Hobbies in Belleville Michigan. Owned and operated by Bill and Sarah Curtis. The track came through the move very well and is fun to race on. It does take some practice. Figuring out how to get a JK Indy car around this one will make you a better racer in any class. JK 1/32 cars with falcon motors seem to be very well suited to it.

    Zippity,

Even tho it's a 6 lane, please put in a bid for the ISRA Worlds. That rack looks like fun, and I'd be happy to fly down to race on it.

    Hi Greg,
    hope you are well?
Unfortunately the rules say "Each ISRA race must be run on a professionally built wooden track with 8 lanes" so no ISRA Worlds on that track.

    Woody,

Nice to hear from you! All's well here in Western Colorado, tho there's not much snow yet. :-(

Too bad about that rule. Zippity's track looks just great!

Well that's easily fixed, lets change the rule to 6 lanes.

    Gill,

Actually, ISRA Worlds rule changes are not at all easy and the stuff of long committee meetings, which to date I have been fortunate enough to avoid! :-) But still, my wife and I love New Zealand, so maybe someday I'll come down to race with you guys for some other occasion.

    ISRA-rules
can in principle be fairly easy to change, but this one will be difficult.
It is a question of the schedule for the ISRA-Worlds, the only race that ISRA is made for.
When 100 racers show up for the worlds it takes many hours to complete racing in one class on a 8-lane track. This would take 25% more time if raced on a 6-laner, which would mean racing into the small hours. That would be unacceptable.

Sorry, you have to route a couple of more lanes into that MDF.

    Keiv

    Jason:
The "Beast" in post #8 was made by Mike Williams of Hotslots in Boone Iowa who is a cabinet maker by trade. He close his buisness sold the track last year so not sure where it wound up at.

Heres the 2013 ISRA worlds track in Keiv.

Team Cahoza is building a new track for the 2013 ISRA Worlds. We should have the first pictures in January.
