    Thunder Rubber Classification

    Doug/Bill,

Can you please place these tires in order from most to least bite for me please. I have a few sets of tires that I'm not sure what exactly what they are.

    "Beuf Blend"
    Zap Blend
    Nasa Blend

    I'm so confused....

Brad, thats the whole point, now that you don't have any idea which tires are which, you need to buy all new tires. How else is Doug and Bill gonna make money!

I do agree that the names are quite entertaining, but I'm not really sure what tires I am supposed to run, lol

    Best Tires to run

At Port Jeff, I have found that the round tires work best

Take a durometer to them. Here's a quote by P.A. on our forum on how to durometer giant hub tires:

"I don't know an accurate way so I try to give an equivalent reading to 'bite' a .500 ish O.D. hub would give.To do this I measure between the holes & an average reading of '40' before the meters needle bottoms out & the reading skyrockets,is what I call 34's.The next reading of '40-42'=36 duro.A reading of '43-45' is a 38.Anything over that would be a '40' until the reading gets up to '48' & then it's time to take the rubber off & start over w/ another donut.p.a."

I will leave that to Bill

Skinner names the tires and treats the rubber. I will have him respond to this when he gets back from Vegas.
OK, Blubber rubber on the Chub hub was me, but I did it in honor of Chubby.

I assumed that Skinner came up with that one in honor of Pilsen, the

    Colors from the raceway

Blue marked caps are Beuf Blends on 600 hub, these bad boys were designed for opens and can take a real hard shot and not bend. They have a extra lip on the outside-in the hub.

Red marked caps are Nasa on the 615 hub, these are the fastest/hardest tires to date. They are used from Gp12-Gp27. (limitted glue) They are also used in opens for the center lanes

Green marked caps are Beuf Blends on the 615 hub, these are the tires, we have been testing for Gp27 light (Spray glue) They have been outstanding.
