New Track near Evansville, IN.

There is a new slot car track in Darmstadt IN. which is just about 5 miles north of Evansville, IN. and about 2 miles west of Hwy 41 bear the 4H center, right now we have a 70 foot tri oval and a 125 foot road course and coming soon a 1/4 mile drag strip and indoor carpet R/C track, Hours are 5 till 9 Tuesday thru Thursday, 5 till 10 on Friday, Noon till 10 on Saturday, and Noon till ? ob Sunday, closed on Monday,, the address is 13140 Darmstadt Rd. right behind the Darmstadt Inn

The wood has been purchased for the building of the drag strip so hopefully it will be up and running in the next month,, and the address to the track os 13140 Darmstadt Rd. it is about 1 1/2 mile west of Hwy 41 take the Boonville New harmony Rd by the 4H center

The braid should all be in place today,, going to get the capacitors sometime today also, so hopefully it will be running this weekend,, I will keep you all posted

The drag strip is up and running as of New Years Day,,, Billy Beard from Indy has the track record set that dat at 101.9 mph,, We race on Wednesday night at 6:30 sharp and on Sunday night at 5:00 sharp, Come on out and visit with us

As of today March 9th. Fun Slots Raceway has closed its door due to the fact that they didn't pertain a couple of permits such as an assembly permit and a gaming and entertainment permit, so they closed the doors till further notice,, Thank you everyone that came out to the track and supported them

I wouldn't write them off yet! All they've got to do is jump through a few hoops to get the required permits and hopefully be opened back up very soon!

After a sizable investment investment in tracks, building, inventory, etc... I would certainly hope that a lack of a couple pieces of paper would be enough cause to be kept closed for too long.

Both tracks were sold. I don't know who bought them. As far as I know none has been placed back in operation. The only track remaining in the Evansville area is Fastlane, in the Washington Square Mall.

I believe I saw where the owners have moved to Florida. Pity, I have family in Louisville and was looking forward to visiting a couple of tracks in the area.
