Yes, that is correct, especially if any hint of brass plate and/or piano wire is detected...

And these are the regular hours from the SCR website...

    Slot Car Raceway is open
Wednesday, Thursday & Friday from 3 PM to 8 PM,
Saturday from 12 noon to 8 PM,
Sunday from 1 PM to 5 PM, Closed on Mondays & Tuesdays

So, the real question is (in other words, the one that out of town racers are REALLY interested in getting an ANSWER to) will the hours be different the week of the Nats?

    Frank,

I was planning on coming down on the Saturday before the Nats and staying for the week. However, if you aren't going to be open on Monday and Tuesday, that will seriously change my plans.

So, what are the hours going to be?

Also, can you answer my other question about lodging please?

Gary there is a Motel 6 and I think its a Best Western within a few min of the track. I remember in 08 we stayed at the Motel 6 and ate many dinners at the Black Bear Diner, pretty good place to eat too.

A quick search on Expedia shows rooms in the Rohnert Park area from ~$40 a night. The surrounding towns of Petaluma and Santa Rosa are also pretty close. But really, you should be able to easily find a room in Rohnert Park that works for you.

Also there is the list below. The first 6 are in Rohnert Park. Hope it helps!
