With all due respect, Shontel, but do you honestly believe that a leopard(s) can change its spots

I think Mike just didn't want to point out the 50% failure rate at the SZ enduro... LOL

OK... now I am done as well.

The SCRRA can make any choice they please.

I talk, read, and care about the Hawk motor, I just won't buy one.
But on occasion I do race against them.

Not sure of the total motor death count at the IRRA 6 Hour Enduro. I did get Mike Ile's and Noose's dead birds to take apart. Both had 65-65-66 winds. Stacks measured .515" x .390". Considering this is a disposable sealed motor the fact that many went the full 6 hours is pretty impressive. Quite a lot more than a "bit" more durable than previous FKs.

As far as people trying to cheat them up there is a very inexpensive device to detect any irregularities. It's called Dr Mom Otoscope. $18 from the Wal-Mart. Will send the cheatin' bastards right back to the pits to put a legal motor in. Just like before. But there will always be low life greedy wankers who will try to make cheated up motors. We will see how many racers want to risk being caught and banned.

Regardless of how far away I may be (live) the majority of what is said/passes through this forum (and indeed web site) has a 90% bearing on what happens to slot car racing in New Zealand.

So yes, I do have a vested interest

    Ron,
Have you tried running your one hole Hawk? Or are you going to save it as a collectable?

    Sam,

It is too special to run in a chassis.

Guess I will keep it as a collectable for when I grow old

Well fun time today with our Hardbody 4 hour enduro at BPR!!! Very interesting---we had 8 cars in the race--average weight is 180 + grams----ALL motors ran the entire distance!!! Over 2200 laps on the winning car with 7 out of 8 running over 2000 laps!!! NO MOTOR FAILURES!!! Pretty amazing!!!
