These babies in my opinion are some of our MOST fun cars to drive!! With the longer bodies and anglewinder chassis--they handle VERY well but are still a little looser then our Coupe cars!! I've got a couple up on the shelf ready to run anytime we get this class back on the track!! We ran them mostly on the flat track--and the Kingleman---but they'd be fun on the King too!! I'd LOVE to see if we could get the class running again!! Go for it Nesta---their fun builds too!!

One thing I WOULD suggest---is we get RID of the Mercury body that is shown in your pics!!! It's WAY to slammed for scale appearance----but because it IS slammed--as you can see --it's the ONLY body that will be run if it's allowed!! And there are LOT'S of cool bodies that this class could support IF we got RID of this ridiculous slammed Mercury!!! Both OS and True Scale have lot's of very nice Nascar bodies that we can run!!! --- FWIW!!

Tim at this point S.C.R.R.A. has three classes, F1, CanAm and Retropro. Nascar is one of the gigs I personal miss.
I think the organization has no issue with running the NasCar racing on the King, but is there a interest in building a angle winders at this point?
I never build one myself but yourself said it's fun to build this rides, so if we are going to reinvent this class why not build it to the standards of CanAm.
Let's see how many racer's would be interested to running this class? Need input to make this to happened, you guys need to speak to Cukars and Warmack to get this going, as supplement of the current class's we have.
I'm going to build one myself and it will more of a modern angle winder I hope?
Body's is up to discussion in a later time if we even get to the point to run this cars?

Bryan has always said he loves this class!! It's just up to someone to promote a race with them and get more people interested. I'd like to stay with the anglewinders---easy to build and they handle better. Also,--get rid of the Mercury body. I'll talk to Bryan next week about them--and bring my cars to the next race!!

Tim I will do my part of bringing this guys back, but you better rally behind this!
We need at least 14-16 guys that are interested in racing this great rides. Face it, we will need this guys so we have enough turn marshals, that's the reason I bump up the numbers.
Let's do it, typing is not going to make it happened I work on my contacts and you will hopefully do the same.

If you guys are going to be lame asses it will not happened.
It's up to you to take charge to make it become a reality not mine, you can lurk around and see what is going on.
For your information I was calling Cukras about this and he is all for it, are you?

Okay Nesta---to inspire your building--here's two historic D3 Nascars!! One--from the legendary Mike Steube!!! His #1 D3 Nascar build!! The other--is from the equally legendary Foamy!!! This car was built with the ORIGINAL SIDEWINDER rules in place!! These cars started out as SIDEWINDERS!!! Later--they modified it to anglewinders!! Both cars work very well--the max width on these cars is 3"!! So a little narrower than our other class's!! The pictures loaded funny--the blue Foamy car has the more "full" looking sidewinder chassis!! The orange Steube car is the anglewinder!!!

Thanks Tim, I will dig out my Mike S. ride that he won on the flat track and see if you remember it?

I know you guys that is always on the FB that they open up a new King track in Chula Vista, San Diego.
Maybe I can go there to test my rides, its 15 to 20 minutes away from the place I live.

Is it a camera or a fish-eye lens perspective trick.... that finger looks oddly shaped(?).
Let me know if you want to know my real name... it's not "Tex". LOL

I think you are right about the fisheye lens! I found out the track came from Reno Nevada?
Could it be a track that use to be in Las Vegas, Fast Tracks maybe?
