New Dragstrip in the shop.. Basic old time Hotrod stuff..

Thanks for letting me in..really an Awesome Board.. The builds are Amazing...

Well I Dig Hotrods... I build a ton over the years.. Been in the Woodie building biz for a while.. really into Old Time Drags and East Coast Modifieds

Heres the story.. lots of Life changing events for me the past two years.. first and 80 year old driver crushing my right hand.. losing my motor skills.. ( graphic artist .. )then in the healing I got hit with stage 4 cancer.. which I just got hit with a second time this past month...

So what's this have to do with slot cars? well .. when stuff happens you think about your past... As a kid I built models and slot cars.. and dreamed of owning a Hotrod.. well years pasted quickly and I back to building slots..

Currently I got Two wood Ovals and a third in progress... but I had to have a 1/8th dragstrip.. and wanted one on the cheap..and here it is.. built for about 50 bucks total .. for the whole package....AW HO tree (Check the Bay, you can find just the tree track cheap and rip it apart..)..The Computer... Freebie, timing, lights, win lights, turn around ( Lazy Me ), Burnout box with holdback release, ET, Mph, RT..sorry no bracket deal yet, soon maybe.... well I said I like the early era stuff.. Still a long way to go..scenery and stuff and too busy building new cars.. yup HOTRODS.. And having fun running on it..

Just picked up a Fog Machine...Huh? Whats that mean.. Well SMOKING BURNOUTS..hook up some computer fans and when you throttle it ...it will blow under the car for the Wild Burnouts everybody loves..Haha

Its not the fastest thing out there.. No glue.. just alot of spinning tires.. you got to throttle them.. and full track wheelstands.. just fun enough for the Hotrod guys bench racing sessions..

I will post some more stuff on the build..pretty simple to do..

    Enjoy.. Thanks Wood

Hi Woodie, nice to see you over here & welcome to OWH. Do you have any up-close photos of that blue rail dragster in your above photos? I'd like to see its chassis details with the body off, if you have any. Thanks.
I like long walks, especially when they're taken by people who annoy me.

    Wood,
    Cool stuff.
I'd like to see the chassis on the 34' Ford Bonneville Racer.

Is that a Flintstone resin body or a WRP vacuformed?
