Wow - 3 of the perennial favorites out - no Paul Gawronski, George Russell, or Greg Gilbert in the 1/24 Euro Main!

Looks like PG will hand the baton down to FG.

Nice job Joe Lim - made the Euro main in your first Nats!

So close Jim - if you had just gotten a little better qualifying time - you might have gotten those few extra laps to get into the main event!

Bummer that George, Greg, & Paul G didn't make it - I guess it's someone else's turn this year! No longer a PG rated Nats.

I guess they're taking it on the Chin... Do I hear the theme from Rocky playing?

My money (if I had any) is on the Hermanator - but any of those guys could win it!

Thanks for the twitter updates & pics, Jim!!! (earning that 20% )

Only 9 laps between 1st and 5th. It doesn't get any closer than that in Eurosport!

I'm really proud of Roy for his win last night, he was so steady and cool headed and on top of it, we all know he's a great guy who deserves a eurosport championship. Herman, Roy and I had dinner during the B semi at a wonderful Thai restaurant....Roy had been going there every day and the people there seemed to know him like he was part of their family! Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the look on Roy's face when the race ended, it was total elation. It doesn't matter that some of us did not make the main event, the ones who did make it were the best racers yesterday and I congratulate each one for their fine effort. See ya next year in New Joisey!!!

I just wanted to add that this was a really fun nats! The racing was great. The hospitality even better. My thanks go out to Frank and his large cast of volunteers who did so much for everybody (I'd name them, but I'm afraid I'll forget one!). Also to Laura and Roger Schmitt, who were both working the whole time, as well as to Milton for making the trip west and running such a good meeting. Lastly to Owl for all of the reporting. Hard to picture that high end racing could be much better than this!!

This was quite a race to watch! I think that everyone on the track had the lead at some point. The first 4 lanes had Rocky in the lead! Here are some pics:

    8th place - Frank Gawronski

    7th place - Tracy Chin

6th place - Rocky Rommel Jr

    5th place - Herman James

    4th place - Joe Lim

    3rd place - Gugu

    2nd place - Michael Rocha

    1st place - Roy Hood

    that's a wrap!
