Thumbs up Mick A's Slot Car City

Just an FYI that Mick's Slot Car City is moving to a new location here on the West side of Vegas,
to 1271 S Decatur (Decatur and Charleston) in the big shopping center.
We tore down the tracks last night and they have been carted to the new location along with the track
from Hesperia, CA. which from my understanding is a faster Ogilvie. So now The Hillclimb, the other Ogilvie and the drag track will be on hand for our racing pleasure.
Cruzin Bob with be on hand with the set-ups so all should go pretty smoothly.
So when your down our way stop in for a visit and a few laps, or race.

Which one of the Hesperia tracks are they setting up? If its the Grandstand, that has a special place in my heart. My brother and I put alot of hardwork into resurfacing and rebraiding that track with the Forsyths and the manager of Greenflag. I know Houston and Mick will treat it well.

James. Houston still has the Grandstand stored, not enough room for the three big tracks. Fingers crossed that will change in time.
I finally went to see the new place yesterday, Crusin Bob was working on a Kingleman not another Ogilvie like i previously thought. Sweet, looks like a real drivers track.
Even had signatures on the doughnut section from 95'. I told Houston he needs to add his.
So Mike, Stubbs, Houston, Mick, Cruzin Bob and myself will be there getting these tracks put up this morning, I'm tackling the wiring on the Euro while Bob routes the cement out of the Kingleman on the other side for the new braid. This time in sections, as Bob has cut the notches down the sides.
Could be somewhat of fate as my last day of work was Friday (Layed off) I can dedicate a lot of time this week to help Houston and Mick get this going for the soft opening on Friday.
I will keep you guys updated on a grand opening date, and hope to see some of you down here.

I took yesterday off. Houston said the paint went on the Kingleman, which IMO should have stayed Grey, but i think they painted it black.
Going down this morning for more wiring and the rebraid.

The rebraid has begun. Yep the Haas Kingleman is now black, still deciding on the outside color.
The hillclimb will be repainted robins egg "king" blue.

The Kingleman is just about finished, i think that light purple as Houston calls it is growing on me.
I will install the cove moulding on the turns while Bob finishes the taps. I think it came out pretty nice.
Also the Hillclimb is getting a fresh coat of "blue king" blue, other than that it's good to go after a good cleaning of the surface.

Thanks James. Yeah i liked the gray but the green needed to be re done, Houston already had the black epoxy and the purple was a wife pleaser.
We finished tweaking the tracks, added the rubber on the turns, cleaned and spray glued.
Some of the guys got in a few laps, the Kingleman is smooth and fast, Mick was running 2.9 with his Box 12.
My GTP ran pretty well, dusted off my 7 but spun a pinion after about 20 laps, should have waited for the glue.
Going to throw a few cars on later today and get some rubber put down.

Any of you team guys that can provide the new store with some banners, signs, ect. would greatly be appreciated.
