I wouldn't worry too much about the weight! I think Bryan's was in the high 90 gram range!! Just make sure it handles great and you can drive it great!!

Might be a sweet ride for back East if the rails are ok at .125 1 piece

Here is the IRRA main rail rule:
    3
"h. Main chassis rails constructed of round steel
or brass wire may be ground or sanded flat on
the bottom, but no more than 20% of the
    rail diameter may be removed."

The rail dimension 0.125 that Warmack made and Sam you race in the East Coast and I'm here.
    S.C.R.R.A rules run Southern California.

Know that. Just letting Jason know.

The new CA+ rules would allow a rail like that. What is the finished thickness of the rail?

Well guys as you know I build stuff to run at BPR, so this ride is going to be modified for my needs.
I need to be around 90 - 95 gsss to hang with the fast guys with light rides.
Of course it will be better then it was just for the hell of it.

Waiting for my parts for a NasCar, have not given up on that idea.
We ran a lot of Mercury Cyclone in the past, flat and low. What bodies did you like in this
    class?

Cukras was running his stocker around the flat track Saturday! He thought banning the Mercury might be a good idea--so we don't end up with a one body class again!! Their still VERY fast and fun to drive!! I'll have mine out at the next race!!

Good idea Tim, the feed back that I get is very few want to race this class.
Either way its not on the S.C.R.R.A menu at this time so we can rewrite the rules, my suggestion would be same width as current CanAm.
Either way that's the way I will make mine for the King track.

Don't think there's any reason to change the rules because there's a lot of cars out there that fit the existing rules! But until we race them--it's probably not a big deal. But I would build to the existing rules to have any chance to run the class again for now. I think you'll find the bodies were designed to fit the 3" rules.

I talked to Cukras yesterday about the dimensions for a new NasCar should be used?
He thinks if S.C.R.R.A is going to do this we should run the CanAm rules!
Same thought with Warmack as well, I guess the body's can stretch a bit to fit.
