I was THE CAVE RACEWAY Last night, Todd was putting some finishing touches on the new facility.

    The track is amazing!

I ran some LMP and some Can-Am.

The inaugural race on May 18, 2013 will be epic!

The Monitors are HUGE, the facility is sparkling new, the pit tables are large, the pit chairs are new and comfy, the refrigerator is shiny black, there is even a Keurig coffee maker!!!

All the success in the world to Todd and to all to who have helped him at his new facility!!!

SEE YOU ON MAY 18, 2013!!!!!

Let's get some Can-Am flat track racing going at THE CAVE RACEWAY!!!!

    Nesta,
We had a blast on that flat track! Herman James came down from up north and won all three classes. That guy really knows how to get around on a flatster. Some local BPR racers were there. Todd and Mike really got the place ready and put on a very good event. I'll let someone else report the details. A great fun track to be sure.

This is just a though from me, I wish that you guys would have worked out a deal with BPR to have the track at BP?
We just have x-amount of racers, and some of us can't make it to every race way that is popping up.
Face it lot of guys are having their home track and we just have X-amount of time and racers in this part of Cali?
Yea I don't care for that flat track at BP and I won't pretend that I do.
But I will support BP first of all, and it has to do with the guys I race with.
Well guys good luck to you.

Not worried but I think this should have been thought out a bit better.

It never has to be us vs them!! There's plenty of racers and races to go around. Many who race at BP do not like to race on a flat track!! The King has been the largest gatherings for retro-- and the flat track at BPR now has been repaired and updated so I hear it's very good! Having two tracks will draw more racers--not less. Variety will help spice up flat track racing--and The Cave only runs 4 days per month!!! BPR has every other day to race---AND--their in different parts of OC---not next door to each other! No reason to think we can't GROW racing again--- we need MORE tracks--not less. It's all good. Let's race at ALL the tracks!!

    Nesta,
I like that you are always questioning and don't just go with the flow, but I have to disagree with you on this one. It would be the same as saying thrre only needs to be one big mfg....

Options and choices will help the hobby grow. Another 1st class track for a style of racing that isn't flourishing at BPR is good and should attract more racers. BPR has a very strong retro and wing following which should not be affected.

Keep up the great race reporting and pics. I am not a retro guy but have really enjoyed following your threads.
