Cahoza T2 and T5 bevelled magnets
Can any of you motor builders out there tell me what difference in performance, the T2 and T5 Cahoza bevelled magnets have compared to the standard T2 and T5's? Or do the bevelled magnets just change the characteristics of the motor?

Not sure what difference there is in motor performance, although I believe the beveled magnets are a bit stronger. More importantly is to make sure they are legal. I don't believe they are legal for USRA Div II events, which may not be an issue for you. If there is a performance difference, I would imagine it's minimal.

I always thought that they felt "softer" but I haven't done any objective testing to prove that.

I have used bevelled T5's in a couple of setups and have to say I'm not crazy about them.
I found a distinct lack of brakes.
OK for wing cars, not much good for GT12.

Angle tips generally increase RPM and reduce torque, like increasing timing. The increased gauss readings are basically an illusion, since they result from the meter wand being closer to magnet face due the smaller internal circle of the magnet face. If you use them you probably need to reduce timing of the arm and/or go to a smaller pinion. Angle tips used to be pretty common in International 15 motors (15+ years ago) now though they are only used occasionally for qualifiers, race motors all have full extended tip magnets.
