some racers around here use ruff cutts, if you can find any now. they are a mid america product
From my past experience I've used mostly Gilbert tires. They are fantastic. But I heard great things about Hermanators as well.
Depending on the normal ISRA type class what overall tire diameter and hub diameter are being raced right now? Does it make a difference if it's 2mm or 3/32s?
Other than Gilbert and Hermanators, are there any other good choices for tires?
thanks...

Most everyone around here runs either small hub Speedshop or Hermanator tires on the flat tracks. Tire diameters are dependent on how the car is jigged. I haven't noticed any handling differences between cars jigged with 40 tooth spurs or 42 tooth spurs with otherwise similar setups. I have cars that need .685s to make a whole race and others that only need .665s to make the whole race and have been successful with both. Sometimes, you jig the cars you race later in the day with the smallest spur so you can recycle tires from earlier in the day....
In the 1/24th scale cars (Group 10 all the way through Open 12), most are using 3/32 axles, however, there were a few that were running 2mm at one time. For ES24, certain people swear by 2mm, others stay with 3/32. For ES32, most everyone is running 2mm.
I'm pretty sure that Frank at Slotcar Raceway has them, along with Hermanators and many more . Give him a call!

that's a wrap!
Pretty much what Jerry said with the sizes.
Speedshop, Hermanators, and MA Roughcuts for rubber. I've had some recent success with Kelly's as well. Depends on the track that day.
I have some Roughcuts if anyone is having trouble getting them.
I tried Ruff Cuts in the weekend and they started pushing into the centre of the rim (tyre coming loose) - anyone else experienced that?
These are rim/tyre combo not donuts I have mounted myself

Are they grayish or black in color? Are the pores really small?
