Nice!
Do you have to spend $150+ on a BRM car to get the body, or are they available separately?
OKay--the last of my hard body builds to post. You can see these VERY simple builds--.090 wire and tilting pans for the body actually handle very well. Fun to build and drive!!!
Nice!

Yes - the BRM bodies are available separately... although at $39.99 they are a bit more spendy then a typical model car body.
They come as pre-painted in several choices of liveries, or as unpainted white bodies (either way listed at $39.99).
While some of the bodies are also available as Tamiya 1/24 model kits, they can be hard to find... and sometimes can be more trouble to adapt or mount the model body on a slot car.
I checked a few OWH sponsor web sites, and did not see them listed... but I had thought that Frank carried them at SCR or Scott at PCH carried them (and Roger at MA - which is closed currently) I'm pretty sure that Jim does not carry BRM at PSCR. You might call them first to check if they have them or can get them for you. If any sponsors do have them... please let me know.
If not, then I know Alan has them listed at 132slotcar (where I used to work), as he is also the USA distributor for the BRM cars.

Hi Dennis--- I picked up 4 bodies off Slot Car illustrated---$15 each. Let me know if you want one---I'll bring it over for you!
I was just curious, not ready to build one right now.
It seemed to me to be a very expensive class if you had to buy the whole BRM car just for the body.
Glad to hear they are available separately.
Well the only reason I used the BRM body is because I had some! There's LOT'S of kits available for Group C and GTP cars available. Their very cool looking and the hard body makes them a challenge to drive well.
Hey, Tim. Here's something you might like, a Porsche 904 hardbody with a scratchy-built chassis:
I started this awhile ago & found it in one of my many storage boxes. The wheels started out much larger in diameter, but had to grind it down to a useable size. The nice thing is the main body is one-piece & includes a static driver interior. I'll posted the finished product when it's done. Meanwhile, check out the rest of the pictures here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...0295659&type=1
