Sounds like a great class and lots of fun.
Good luck and I hope you get a good turnout.
-
Thanx Mike...
It'd be that much FUNNER if you can come too!

Hope to get as many Iowans, Arkansinians(?), (Arkansawnians?) Nebraskans, Kansans, Ohioans, & Illinoians (& everyone ELSE) to come also.... I'd at least like to "Throw it out there" as to a complete "slot-car vacation" , where you spend some EXTRA time enjoying all the other GREAT things to do @ the Lake of the Ozarks while here for the race.. There's Rental boats, waterfront waterparks, resorts, marinas, bowling alleys, caves with guided tours, restaurants, live bands, a Giant outlet mall for shopping, MAJOR fireworks on Sat. & Sunday nights... My friend that owns a small, but NICE motel that's only a block away from the track has agreed to a 40 per night rate for all the attending racers, should they have need of a room overnite.

Hey I like that class, Mr. Muzbnuts, if I lived closer I'd be there. Pretty simple, easy rules. I also like the way you added "Standard USRA rules pertaining to clearance, widths, & body". That makes it pretty clear. A guy could build a thin C11 with BB's, some .680 rears, a Hawk 7 geared to the moon, a GTP body, and be good to go.

You must've read my facebook page..... that's EXACTLY what motor/chassis/goodies combination I'm runnin with a champion super-shadow body... "Geared to the moon"??? I'm geared 11 to 34, w/.700 hand-turned parma big-full hub 7$ tuna's... My front-wheel set-up is CLEARLY laid-out, & explained on my FB page... the difference between a "ho-hum" 4.2 car, & a BLISTERING 3.822 car is ALL in the rear tires, motor brace, how good of a job that's done mounting the body, & rear-axle height... NO secrets here...

No, I did not read your Facebook page, because I don't do Facebook.

So I guess you "communicate" to the world in general with coconuts? Message in a bottle? Congo-drums? smoke-signals? 2 cans & a BIG string? (An extra can & a knot in the string for "3-way calling") Or worse yet, YAHOO/MSN? Juz wondering.... ANYWAY... This just goes to show how EZ it is to come up with a winning combination for our race. For all my "Tweaking" & fancy side-pan mods, my FASTEST car has NOTHING done to the Chassis other than trimming 1/2" off of the ***-end of the side-pans, (That was done mainly to ease access to the tires, & oiling the motor) & a .032 brace that runs from the front/top of the motor as far forward on the center-section as it'll go.... there's your "speedee secret" of the day....Hope to see you ALL here on the 31st....
It WILL be FUN, competitive, & Affordable Racing...

Steve can you get me a hotel room for Friday night?
Sincerely,
Jeff Strause
-
Sure Jeff, I have several rooms set aside, It's nothing "5-Star" but it's VERY reasonable, CLEAN, has a nice little swimming pool, & it's ONLY a block from the track.. I see you mentioned Friday, what about Saturday nite? I'm assuming you want the room for then, Also??? For real-world purposes, here's the "Hillbilly" directions method.... Take Hwy 54 into Osage Beach, I'm guessing you're coming from the North) & go OVER the "Grand-Glaize" Bridge, it's the big, Main bridge that goes over the Lake of the Ozarks, & it's located smak in the Center of town. Take the JEFFRIES ROAD exit, that's the exit that you come to literally as soon as your tail-lights finish crossing the bridge. This exit will put you onto the OLD Highway, (Main street, or 54-Parkway, or business 54, hell, the city has changed the name of the old highway since the by-pass was built 3 times, it's hard to keep up)..... Anyway, go just a HAIR over ONE mile down the old highway-mainstreet, & look for the Post-0ffice on your Right, that's Rowan road... As SOON as you round the corner, you'll see the sign for my Automotive shop on Big yellow poles just a 1/2 a block up.. I'm the Only thing there is behind the Post -office, so I'm pretty EZ to find... I'll make those reservations @ the "Town & Country Motel" for you for Friday, & Saturday Nights... LMK if that's not what you want... Steve...

Missouri State Championships...Hick-Town "Electronic-direction-finder" Hiccups
Anybody that plans on attending the The "Big" Race In Osage Beach, on August 31st, please take note that IF you are using an "Electronic Fish-finder" type of gadget to find the shop, you will have to program it to look for NORMANDY ROAD, but the CITY of "O-soggy-Beach" chose to hang a street-sign on the pole that says "ROWAN ROAD" Yes, I've gone 10 rounds with all the doddering old FOOLS that infest City-hall about this, & they claim that all the "proper"(?) forms of notification of street-name-change have been filed, yet NONE of the electronic direction-device makers have changed this, & it's been going on for over 7 years.... (grrrrr).... Well, anyway, just remember program your "fish-finder" for NORMANDY road, & look for a street-sign that sez ROWAN Road....
Call me if any of you have any questions.. Steve 573-302-4555

Thanx Sam...
Ok, & REMEMBER FOLKS, "You CAN'T MISS it!!!" You can pretty much stop ANYWHERE in town, & get directions to the Osage-Beach Post -office if all else fails...
