How about 42 ProSlot PD motors. Some with Bearings some with bushings, 90% have brushes and springs 2 need hardware, no pinions. $450 or best offer would consider trades. Contact [email protected]
    Also got some arms.

    1. Find someone who is capable of and willing to build some chassis for you. I know a guy here in Florida that helped out a track by building 12 chassis for them. They were all the same, based on the JK D3 chassis kit. They were sold to racers (no track owners allowed) for $29.95.

The first race, one of the local racers bought one of the chassis and another racer also bought one. On race day, guess who were the fastest 2 racers? Of course some of the really good chassis builders were there and could not unseat them.

    2. Use FK type motors - under $14.00.

    3. Paint you own bodies.

I do believe you can have a competitive car for under $75 that is capable of winning against anything more expensive.
Under $75? Really? Can you list the parts and back up that claim?

A good to very good assembled new chassis can be had for under 100.00. A pre-painted body can start at about 9-10 bucks (based on a Parma pre-painted body). Figure maybe 40.00-50.00 (50.00 includes axle ball bearings) for the remaining parts to finish the car. So you end up at about 155.00 for a nice, new complete Can-Am Retro car. Is 155.00 or so per car low cost to you?

    Yep, sure can.

But I have nothing to prove to you, so I won't.

Mike, you don't like retro, so why are you even commenting here?

    Such a dweeb.

I like the style of the TI-22 Can Am and it works well on an inexpensive stamped steel chassis.
The 4 1/2" JK Stock Cars would be a great choice for a small oval like he described.
FCR would also be a good choice for beginners.

But suggesting that a beginner can assemble a competitive brass and wire Retro Car for $75 is a fairy tale.
That would be like me saying a beginner can build a competitive Group 12 Car car for $100.

How would you know what works on an oval, Mike? You have only ran five laps ever.

LaCOOCOO criticized my raceway because we ran 4.5 Nascar (nascrap to him), and we had an oval besides the hillclimb. Now he is suggesting 4.5 NASCAR for a fellow to run on his oval. Next he will be suggesting that oval owners should be running 4.5 RETRO NASCAR . What is the world coming to?
