Wings at The TRACK, July Results

The monthly gathering of Speed Crazed morons was held last Sunday, July 12th. As the day went on it was obvious that we were going to have to rename our monthly gathering to the Greg Mayer race day as he Hat tricked winning all 3 classes that day.
There is a contribution fund being set up to hire a hit man to perhaps take care of this problem, we'll see how that ends up ;-)

In GP-12 we had 5 entries Greg won with 521 laps and also fast lap time of the race with 2.540. James Peters was second, Mike Walpole third followed by Mike Bauerline then Brian (Lamo) Eardley

In 15A's we also had 5. Greg took the win with 572 laps but Brian "Lamo" Eardley had fast lap at 2.362. Brian was also second and Tom Adams third. JD finished 4th followed by Mike Walpole in 5th.

27 Lite had 6 entries and yup, once again that darn Greg Mayer had his way with us winning with 821 laps. Roman K had fast lap (no it was not a rider) and finished second with Jimbo Kirby in third. Wendell Peters finished 4th , Brian was 5th and Kevan Taylor was 6th. It was an interesting race as seemed everyone was in the lead at one point on another and we had a number of pretty good heat lap totals yet nobody was able to put together 8 good heats.

    Full results attached below.

It was another fun day of speed and camaraderie. Thanks to all that attended and support our monthly Wing car program.

Yeah, nobody likes him.....LOL, I'm kidding of course. Greg is perhaps one of the most prepared racers I've ever seen and he is a pleasure to race with. Goes with the flow no matter what and just wants to play with his toy cars. We are lucky to have him racing with us.

...a good guy to race with. One of the pace setters. Thought we had something for him, but again, I learned I'm just trying to keep up. Good show, Greg.

    Thanks for the report.
I always look at Wing Car stories because I hope to race them again.

It would be GREAT to see pictures of the cars and tech sheets.
