No, I didn't try uploading via PM's. Why would I?

I just used the "quick reply" function.

Bob, I sent you a PM with 2 photos in it - the first, a copy and paste, the second using the url as requested in the PM - both appear in the post in my sent folder.

Oh, BTW, I am using Firefox, not that MS krap

Zip, could you try it ... Please.

That would help identify if it a MS Internet Explorer issue.

    When I said 'it':

when using your Private Messaging service .... Do you get the option to load an image from your local drive in Firefox?

As RickB says - "Why make it tougher than it really is? "

Help! --- could someone explain how to do a 'pasted' image using Internet Explorer 11 ?

If I copy and paste the Bat image Zip posted above this is what happens. A link - no image.

Well, without 'Any Help' I figured out how to get a picture to display in a post. Total 'circle jerk of operations.

Let see if I remember how.

Load (attach) a picture from from your hard drive.

    Hit ... 'Submit'.

    Hit ... 'Submit'.
Go back and click on the image,
Highlight the 'path' where it is stored on slotforum.
    Copy the link.
Go back to the original post and hit 'Edit'
    Click the 'Insert image' icon.
Paste the copied link in the "url" box.
Un-Check - 'Retrieve remote file and reference locally'
    Re"Submit' ...
    OMG ... there it is.

Totally bizarre set of operations to get a picture to display. That must be the "work around" I was told to find.

I'm still hoping to find an easy solution soon...

But in the mean time, it's a quick work-around.

The way you described is waaaaaaay harder then it needs to be.

Simply open the pic from the post, or wherever it lives... right click on it, and select "copy image".

Then go back to your post (in edit mode) and hit "control v" to paste it.

No need to mess with the URL's etc.

Thanks for working on it Paul.

Copy Image is not an option. Copy is the only choice in IE-11.

Like this 'right click on picture, click 'Copy" ... and "paste' it below

You told me to find a work around and "I Did" ... LOL

Patient: "Doctor, I'm having fits every time I can't get Internet Exploder to do what I want it to... it's causing all sorts of health problems"

Doctor: "Well I can't help you with your Internet Explorer issues, but I'll write you a prescription for a bunch of really expensive drugs to take to help you deal with with your frustration."

Nurse: "Doctor, what if he just quit using Internet Explorer???"

Doctor: "Shut up nurse! I'm making good money off the kickbacks from the drug companies!"

You mean THIS pic??? The one I just copy/pasted here?

My point is.... that if everyone, including me, has already advised against using Internet Exploder...
and you continue to use it, while asking more advice on how to fix all the problems you encounter using MSIE...

then how do you expect anyone to want to help you fix your problem???

All I can say is, it works for me (and apparently Zippity, who gave me the solution) using Firefox.

If you are still having the problem while using MSIE... well... I really can't help you.

    PK @ OWH

P.S. I'm actually having some different issues with Firefox lately.
Google Chrome works just fine... but I guess I'm stubborn (also) & hate to switch.
Or maybe because I think the nurse is kinda sexy.

If it don't go chrome it ? Not ME.

    Doctor: Just sign here.
Patient: Not until I read it and understand what I'm getting into.
Doctor: nobody reads that stuff, they just hit 'Agree'
Patient: I'm not as stupid as you look but your nurse sure is a fine piece of...

Don't worry about the cliff, Cliff. Just hit "Agree"
