    Finding a frame from 1968

    Hello everyone...

I am not sure where to post this. If this is not the right place, sorry and maybe someone can provide direction.

Circa 1968 at a hobby shop in Evanston, Illinois, one could purchase hand built frames. These were called "sweet frames." The hobby shop was called Tom Thumb.

By any chance might anyone have heard of these? Or have information about them? This was in the day of the "angle-winder."

Many thanks to whoever reads this.

Hi slotbls, welcome to OWH. I've not heard of these "sweet frames" that you mentioned. They might have been locally built, but not too widely distributed. What are you trying to do? Buy an old one or get someone to make a new one? There are many people in the OH/IN who could possibly build you one, provided you had a photo or you could give them a detailed description. Wait a few days & see if you get any response to your original post from racers in the Midwest.
I like long walks, especially when they're taken by people who annoy me.

Thank you for your welcome. I don't want one. I just was curious if anyone, that'd have to be someone who actively raced in 1968 in Evanston, Illinois, remembers them. The hobby shop, Tom Thumb, left the slots decades ago. Thank you again.
