Just playing around with an idea. I stripped off the plastic covering of a couple of lengths for flexible cable, and then fixed the cooper cable a 1/4 inch or so above a plank of wood. The 2 lengths of cable were fixed 1/8 inch apart, to act just like a slot on a regular slot track. Then I connected up the cables to a controller and power supply as normal.
Using rice I then covered the track to give a "loose" racing surface. It was then a case of out with me Monster Trucks to have a go. Anyone for "Sand Drags" ?

In the Midwest, we call it tractor racing - from lawnmowers to full blown dragsters - pulling a load. I figured it would be too messy to use too loose of a roadbed and theorized that slickened astroturf might be better with standard cars and mechanics. They do it in RC, but the weight trailer still needs to be smaller for 1/24 or 1/32.....

Yes we have "Tractor Pulling" here in the UK. I thought that this way of making a track could be used for scale Tractor Pulling, Mud Bog Racing or Sand Drags. I just happened to use rice as the surface as it was what I gad to hand. For the "Mud Bogs" uncooked cake mixture could be used. Just think you could lick your model clean after its run..
